The Petition Process
Joining Freemasonry is a thoughtful process that ensures both the candidate and the lodge are well-suited for one another. The process is designed to be thorough yet welcoming, allowing time for reflection and understanding.
Initial Inquiry
Reach out to our lodge through our contact page or by attending one of our public events. You are welcome to meet with members, ask questions, and learn more about what Freemasonry entails. Remember, to be one, ask one—Freemasons cannot solicit members, but we welcome inquiries from interested men.
Submit Your Petition
Once you have decided to proceed, you will complete a petition for membership. This formal application includes basic personal information and requires the signatures of two current members who will serve as your recommenders. Our members will be happy to assist you in this process.
Investigation Committee
A committee of lodge members will be appointed to meet with you personally. This is an opportunity for mutual understanding—you can ask questions about Freemasonry, and the committee will learn more about your character and motivations for joining. This conversation is conducted with respect and dignity.
Lodge Vote
Following the investigation, your petition will be presented to the lodge members for a vote. This vote is conducted in accordance with Masonic tradition and ensures that all members are comfortable welcoming you into our brotherhood.
Begin Your Journey
Upon acceptance, you will be contacted to schedule your Entered Apprentice degree, the first of three degrees in Freemasonry. This marks the beginning of your Masonic journey—a path of self-discovery, moral growth, and fellowship that will enrich your life in profound ways.
